Introduction to Fledglings CYP & Family Service:
Fledglings provide a domestic abuse recovery service for the non-abusing parents/carers and for CYP between the ages of 5-17 years old, who have been exposed to domestic violence. We promote and support recovery for families through group work and/or 1:1 support.
Our team will also work closely with other agencies involved with the family e.g. Early Help Family Support and Social Care by attending relevant meetings, liaising with professionals and advocating on behalf of CYPs wishes and feelings, as well as the impact domestic abuse has had on the whole family.
What is the eligibility criteria for Fledglings:
If the AP and non-abusive parent are still in a relationship, wish to remain together, are living together or there are still high risks from any on-going abuse, Fledglings will not be able to accept the referral as Fledglings are a post-separation recovery service.
